Power and chemical plants around the world are working to increase efficiency and lower production costs, and Honeywell Process Solutions is stepping up to advise and equip them. The company rounded up a series of contracts recently in which its Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS) is the centerpiece. The company declined to disclose the total value of the contracts.

BASF, the world's largest chemical company, will use the Experion technology to consolidate the operations of two of its German chemical production plants. Also, Honeywell will provide technology and services for a planned Nuo Magnum coal/biomass and natural gas power station in the Netherlands, and for Saudi European Petrochemical Co.'s newest polypropylene plant. And MOL Group, the Hungarian national oil and gas provider, has entered a strategic business relationship with Honeywell.
